"In dental school and in private practice, I found orthodontics
very different from what a general dentist does. I loved it and
knew that's what I wanted to do. I waited five years after earning
my DDS degree before returning to school to pursue my orthodontic
dreams. It was worth the wait.
"The most compelling part is transforming a person's smile and
life. I love working with young people and giving them the smiles
they are looking for. It will help them for the rest of their
lives, building their confidence and self-esteem. I like to treat
people in a personable and caring manner. Since I work mostly with
kids, I like to treat them with respect, like they are small
adults. I have two boys of my own, and I use the same style with my
patients as I do with my children. My experience coaching sports
helps. Though I think my work experience helps me more with
coaching than the other way around. My philosophy is that everyone
deserves the best care and patient experience possible.
